(Genesis 2:24 NLT) …. a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.
(Proverbs 18:22 NLT) The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the LORD.
(Proverbs 5:18 NLT) Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth.

√ We are fighting the wrong ENEMY.
(James 4:1-3 NIV) What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

√ We fight out of wrong MOTIVES.

√ We use the wrong TACTICS.
(1 Corinthians 6:7 MSG) ….Wouldn’t it be far better to just take it, to let yourselves be wronged and forget it? All you’re doing is providing fuel for more wrong, more injustice, bringing more hurt to the people of your own spiritual family.

(Proverbs 18:19 NLT) An offended friend is harder to win back than a fortified city. Arguments separate friends like a gate locked with bars.

(James 1:19-20 NLT) Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.

1. STOP and LISTEN carefully. “…quick to listen.”
(Proverbs 18:2 NLT) Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.

2. Guard my WORDS closely. “..slow to speak …”
(Proverbs 21:23 NLT) Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble.

3. Manage my ANGER righteously. “slow to become angry”
(Ephesians 4:26-27 NLT) … don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.
